SkyOne has developed the following policy guidelines to ensure that the Credit Union maintains a website with the members’ privacy and protection as a priority.
Personal Financial Information
Children's Privacy Protection Act
At SkyOne Federal Credit Union we believe in and promote financial literacy for all ages through education, tools and communications. The online financial account opening and lending services offered through our website are not designed or directed toward children under the age of 18. We request that these individuals do not provide Personal Information through the Site. We do not knowingly collect information from children without parental or guardian consent. If you believe your child has provided personally identifiable information to us without your permission, please contact us. For more information about the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), please visit the Federal Trade Commission website.
Our website has security measures in place, when necessary, to protect against the loss or misuse of personal financial information. We use encryption technology to ensure your data is secure during transmission while performing transactions through our Internet Banking service. Once your information is gathered, we restrict access to only those employees who need this information to provide a specific service.
Our website contains links to other sites of interest. SkyOne does not expressly or impliedly make any representations or warranties regarding any of the non-Credit Union products or services appearing on or linked to this website. We encourage you to read the policies of other sites as you visit them.
SkyOne partners with other online vendors to provide Credit Union members with specific services. As the user signs up for these services, we will gather and share only the information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. No third party online vendor will be given the authorization to share personal financial information except for the purpose of providing Credit Union service.
Correcting or Updating Personal Information
This website gives members the opportunity to alert us by Email when personal information changes (a new address, phone number, or name change for example).
Important Privacy Choices for California Consumers
As a member of SkyOne Federal Credit Union, you have the right to control whether we share some of your personal information. Please read the following information carefully before you make your choice below.
You have the right to restrict the sharing of personal and financial information with outside companies that we do business with. Nothing in this form prohibits the sharing of information necessary for us to follow the law, as permitted by law, or to give you the best service on your accounts with us. This includes sending you information about some other products or services.
Restrict Information Sharing With Other Companies We Do Business With to Provide Financial Products and Services:
Unless you say “No,” we may share personal and financial information about you with outside companies we contract with to provide financial products and services to you.
For example, if you choose “No”, you will no longer be included in insurance mailings from the Credit Union. We will, however, continue to share information as needed to provide you with access to your statements, Home Banking, Bill Payment, and other related services.
You may exercise your privacy choice at any time. Your choice marked here will remain unless you state otherwise. However, if we do not hear from you, we may share some of your information with others with whom we have contracts to provide products and services.
